I just love what rugs can do for a room. They are a great opportunity to add some texture, print and colour into any room plus they help define a space. This year’s colour of the year is bold and beautiful living coral – personally, I love the bright and fresh tones especially in the summer months. With this long and snowy winter it feels like spring and summer may never arrive – but I know they will! This year’s nod to this hue – has totally inspired me ! If you know me or follow me on Instagram, you know I’m usually all about the neutrals. But this year I’m really into bold colour especially in rugs! Rugs are a great way to make a statement and totally freshen up any room!

I love how this rug adds a big splash of colour into this dining room. It also acts as a main component in the room – the teal hue for the chairs is pulled from the carpet and the metallic elements compliment this room. This bedroom is so soothing and relaxing. The mix of colour tones on the bed itself makes this room bright and happy but still calming. This rug is my all-time favourite! It has all of the elements that I love in a great area rug. The vintage aged quality, the boho vibe and these bold pops of colour. This rug adds this ‘travelled’ look in a room and it brings personality and works with so many styles. I love it mixed with clean lines!

This rug is a bit more understated with it’s strong presence of navy blue but looking closely there are many colours. With a rug such as this one, you can play with red tones, the aqua tones, the yellow and even the shades of grey. The possibilities are endless.
